Initially, I started painting tornadoes after a friend received a diagnosis of incurable cancer. During her remaining time of four months, I painted upwards of 20 tornado paintings. After her passing, tornadoes have come to represent emotional disturbances in the universe. Watch for them in my paintings that do not feature tornadoes.
